So, when the reporters arrived for the interview, they were greeted by Chloe, who was beaming with a bright smile, and Daniel behind her, with a face full of resentment, occasionally adjusting his bite guard.
The reporter's voice was somewhat strained, giving Daniel several glances before finally controlling their gaze and asking, "Regarding this championship, what are the thoughts of The No.1 Military Academy?"
Chloe smiled gently, "It went well, just normal performance."
Reporter: "And what are your thoughts on Lanxicha Military Academy, the rising star of this competition?"
Upon hearing this, Chloe paused slightly, raising an eyebrow in response, "Lanxicha?"
The reporter nodded quickly, "Yes."
Chloe nodded slightly, then turned to her other teammates, asking, "What do you all think?"
Upon hearing this, Katherine pondered for a moment before replying, "They're pretty good, very strong."
Qin Huaibei added, "Very ambitious, not bad."
The reporter then turned the camera to focus on Daniel.
Daniel, with his bite guard on, furrowed his brows, glaring fiercely at the camera.
The cameraman hesitated, quickly moving the camera away.
Finally, the camera turned to Anderson.
For some reason, the atmosphere instantly quieted down.
Seeing Anderson remaining silent, the reporter suppressed their excitement and calmly asked, "So, Anderson, what are your thoughts on Lanxicha Military Academy?"
There was a dark, grim look in Anderson's eyes.
He stared into the camera for a moment, then shifted his gaze to Chloe, pausing for about half a second before answering in a low voice, "Not great."
"Not great," the live chat instantly erupted into cheers.
The reporter seemed satisfied with the program's effect and then asked, "So, if compared to Sasley Military Academy, how does the strength of Lanxicha Military Academy fare?"
This question was a trap, as everyone knew Sasley Military Academy had just been eliminated by Lanxicha.
The other team members frowned slightly.
Just as Qin Huaibei was about to signal Chloe to leave and ignore the reporter, Chloe, with a smile full of meaning, said, "Do we even need to ask? Sasley Military Academy got trounced by Lanxicha, isn't that enough to make the point clear?"
With that said, silence enveloped the surroundings.
The reporter seemed taken aback by Chloe's blunt words, "I-Is that so?"
"Both are elves, Katherine faced Lanxicha's people with ease while Sasley kept retreating, one's clearly superior, I think I've made myself clear enough," Chloe said, her lips curling slightly, her face genuine and warm.
Even when uttering such impolite mockery, her expression was flawless.
Qin Huaibei, fearing she might get into trouble, whispered, "Stop talking, let's go."
Chloe nodded to the reporter and quickly left with her team.
Not far away was the interviewing team from Sasley Military Academy. The two military academies were not far apart, and the unfriendly atmosphere Sasley Military Academy faced was exacerbated by Chloe's mocking remarks, making their expressions even more unpleasant.
The leader of Sasley's team turned green with anger.
As the two academies passed each other, Fuen glanced up and met Chloe's interested gaze. He found himself locked into the depths of her dark red eyes, filled with a hint of mockery, as if taunting their incompetence, causing Fuen to feel embarrassed and inferior.
He lowered his head, unable to bear looking any longer.
Back on the spaceship, Daniel, who was at the back of the group, stumbled and collapsed to the floor with a thud.
The temperature inside the spaceship was significantly different from that of the Volcanic Planet. Even Chloe couldn't help but shiver, let alone Daniel, who was already suffering from the heat.
Qin Huaibei lifted Daniel off the ground, while Katherine came over and began to skillfully administer treatment.
Gathering around Daniel, Qin Huaibei expressed concern, "I was worried during the match, could this kid have burned his brain?"
Chloe casually remarked, "His brain wasn't good to begin with, how much worse could it get if it's burned?"
Hearing this, Qin Huaibei thought about it carefully and found it reasonable, so he stopped worrying.
After a dozen minutes, Daniel finally regained consciousness.
Seeing his friends around him, Daniel was touched. "Have you all been here with me? I'm so happy, it proves that you still love me."
As he spoke, Daniel noticed something was off.
He reached out and touched his mouth, confusion flickering in his eyes. "Why am I wearing Chloe's belt buckle? Isn't this thing exclusive to her?"
Chloe: "..."
"Do you want a beating?" she asked coldly.
Only then did Daniel realize he had spoken out of turn and quickly waved his hands. "I was just talking nonsense, how could I possibly want..."
"Bang!"
"Damn it! What are you doing, Qin Huaibei?"
Qin Huaibei calmly withdrew his fist, his voice menacing. "You went crazy and bit me during the match, I haven't settled the score with you yet."
Hearing this, Daniel felt a little guilty, but quickly realized, "You're the one who wanted to wear red shorts, but didn't dare let others see, right!"
"..."
Qin Huaibei's knuckles cracked as he clenched his fist, clearly losing his temper.
In the next instant, Katherine quickly released Daniel and moved aside. In less than half a second, Qin Huaibei's fist came crashing down.
Daniel's head dodged to the side, and he scrambled to his feet, running around in a panic.
The two grappled on the spaceship, while Chloe watched for a while, then left for her own room uninterestedly.
It wasn't until she reached the door of her room that she stopped, turned around impatiently, and said, "Stay away from me."
Anderson pursed his lips slightly, his gaze flickering as he looked up, seeming to be surrounded by a faint watery hue. He opened his mouth, then whispered softly, "Miss wants to take a bath, I can help blow dry your hair."
Chloe's gaze lingered on his eyes with interest for a moment before she turned and opened the door. Once inside, she stopped Anderson's steps with a glance, lips curling slightly.
"I'm perfectly capable, you know."
With that, she closed the door firmly.
Anderson, left outside the door, stood in bewilderment for a moment, the hint of water in his eyes vanishing in an instant.
There was a moment of gloom in his expression as he stood outside the door for a long time, only leaving slowly when he heard the sound of Miss inside turning on the hairdryer.
...
Inside the room, Chloe tested the warmth of the hairdryer, drying her hair halfway before initiating a video call with Xavier.
The progenitor of the vampire clan didn't seem to be in the manor; the background behind him was a beautiful silver-white lake.
After watching for a moment, Chloe asked, "Are you with the elven clan?"
"Yeah," Xavier nodded, "just here to handle some business."
He twirled a serrated blade of grass in his hand, playing with it for a while before saying,
"Had a spat with Anderson?"
Chloe lifted her eyelids casually, "What's it to you?"
A smile crept into Xavier's eyes, as he whispered softly,
"Well played."
He admitted that Anderson was indeed powerful, so powerful that he didn't seem like a half-blood vampire.
But Xavier still placed extreme importance on lineage, a typical, conservative aristocrat.
Chloe didn't appreciate this; she tossed aside the towel draped over her shoulders, warning,
"My relationship with Anderson is none of your concern."
At her words, Xavier discarded the serrated grass, his dark red eyes glancing over,
"Just a mere foot soldier, easily replaceable. You can always find another one."
"Chloe, you're the sole heir of the vampire clan. With your status, no one dares to meddle in your affairs."
