From Mr. Qin to Miss Qin?
Qin Hanyue was amused by Qiao Ying's humor and this form of address: “Then let Doctor Qiao be responsible for me for a lifetime.”
As soon as the words came out, another fatal pain struck the acupoint on his back, spreading the sensation of pain around it, tormenting Qin Hanyue badly.
Qin Hanyue smiled silently after the pain.
About ten minutes later, Qiao Ying stood up: “Turn around.”
Qin Hanyue shifted his body sideways to face the front and sit down. Qiao Ying stood in front of him with silver needles in her hand, bending over to continue acupuncturing him.
“Is there anything wrong with my body?”
“I'm needling for fun, do you have any objections?”
"No."
Qin Hanyue stared fixedly at the girl's fair little face in front of him, not missing an inch as he looked her over. Suddenly, his mind moved and he leaned towards her, about to kiss her.
Qiao Ying dodged back slightly, her eyes warning him.
Qin Hanyue was forced to stop his actions. He looked at Qiao Ying, somewhat embarrassed and guilty at the moment, the corners of his mouth tightened.
Qiao Ying said indifferently: "Mr. Qin seems to be unable to control this mouth of his whenever he sees me. Or should I help Mr. Qin control it?"
Qin Hanyue was really afraid that Qiao Ying would give him two needles that would make his eyes and mouth crooked. That would not only make him lose face in front of her, but Ye Si would also laugh at him for three days and three nights.
In order to avoid this from happening, after Qiao Ying had asked him "Do you like it?" in the small house in the slum and Qin Hanyue had evasively replied "I didn't see clearly", he was dishonest again: "It looks like there's some dirt on your face."
Qiao Ying: "Does Mr. Qin plan to help me clean it with his mouth?"
That's so insensitive.
Qin Hanyue had no choice but to say, "Please continue."
Qiao Ying glanced at him and continued needling.
Qin Hanyue behaved himself.
Perhaps because she saw that he was well-behaved, Qiao Ying generously didn't hold it against him anymore. She asked him, "Why have you had insomnia these past few days?"
When Qin Hanyue heard her question, his depressed mood instantly cleared up. It turned out that she had noticed his poor sleep and was needling him for it.
He said, "I do have something on my mind, but I haven't had insomnia."
Qiao Ying glanced up at him: "Then why do you sleep late?"
Qin Hanyue didn't speak, but chuckled softly instead.
Qiao Ying was puzzled and looked at him again. She then heard him say, "I was watching you too late, so I went to bed late."
Qiao Ying didn't understand.
Qin Hanyue explained: "Looking at your photos."
Ever since Qiao Ying had sent him her photos that night, Qin Hanyue had been looking at his phone until midnight. In the past few days as well.
Qin Hanyue, who was usually very disciplined about his routine, didn't feel like sleeping at all after seeing the photos.
Qiao Ying's fine brows were half raised as she surprisingly said, "Mr. Qin hasn't been doing anything to my photos, has he?"
Qin Hanyue was always shocked by her bold remarks, but fortunately he was much more used to them now. He leisurely replied to her:
"With Miss Qiao's supreme mastery of traditional Chinese medicine, she would surely see through anything I might have done. Right?"
The two chatted with each other, and although their words were quite targeted, the atmosphere between them was exceptionally harmonious and pleasant.
The door handle was suddenly twisted violently from outside, and when the person outside found that the door was locked, they began to lose control and pounded on the door forcefully.
"Baby? Is Qin Hanyue in your room?"
At this point, Ye Si was still able to restrain himself, but after receiving no response, he gradually lost control. He heavily pounded the door with a "bang".
Ye Si's tone was frightening, and his expression was even more frightening. He held a gun in his hand: "Qin Hanyue! Get the f**k out here!"
He kept pounding on the door with such force that it seemed he would smash the door open. It was terrifying to hear, and his words were even more frightening.
When Cheng Jinyan heard the sound, he rushed over but was completely unable to stop Ye Si. In fact, he didn't even try to stop him, just told Ye Si to be mindful of his injury.
Ye Si took a deep breath to suppress his anger, and called out to Qiao Ying very nicely: "Baby, if you don't open the door soon I'll kick it down."
Yet it was not difficult to hear the danger in his words.
There was still no response from inside.
Having lost patience, Ye Si directly ordered his men to kick down the door.
Just as his man raised his leg, the door opened. Qiao Ying expressionlessly said to Ye Si: "Quite the troublemaker, don't you want your leg anymore?"
Ye Si brusquely pushed his man aside: "Is Qin Hanyue in your room or not?" He leaned on the door frame as he dragged his injured leg forward.
Before he could even finish speaking, he saw Qin Hanyue walk out from the inside. As Qin Hanyue walked out, he put on his coat. After putting it on, he tidied up the buttons on the collar of his shirt inside.
He asked Ye Si nonchalantly: "Mr. Ye, did you need me for something?"
Qin Hanyue spoke politely, with some aloof indifference. But to Ye Si's ears, it sounded like provocation.
Cheng Jinyan took one look at the situation and shook his head: This is going to turn into a bloody mess.
Ye Si's expression instantly turned extremely gloomy and sinister. If looks could kill, Qin Hanyue would definitely have been torn to pieces.
Ye Si was furious: "I'll shoot you dead on the spot!" He cocked his gun and pointed the muzzle straight at Qin Hanyue.
He was absolutely not bluffing. Ye Si pulled the trigger without hesitation.
This was not Huaguo or Jingcheng. Even if he killed Qin Hanyue and completely offended the Qin family, so what? Ye Si had always been an extreme madman who dared to gamble away everything down to his last possession.
Seeing Ye Si pull the trigger, Qiao Ying swiftly reached out and grabbed the gun barrel, pushing the muzzle away.
The gun went off, shooting into the door frame.
Her movements were extremely fast, too fast for the eyes to follow. Before one could see clearly, the gun was already in her hand. Qiao Ying directly detached the magazine from the gun.
She said indifferently, "What's with you losing your mind?"
But one could see that Qiao Ying was somewhat angry.
She added: "I was needling him."
Cheng Jinyan, who was very familiar with Ye Si's temperament, helped to smooth things over: "Did you hear that? She was needling him. What could they be up to in broad daylight?"
Upon hearing that it was acupuncture, the murderous intent swirling in Ye Si's eyes subsided a little. He stared coldly at Qin Hanyue.
He gnashed his teeth and said dangerously: "Surnamed Qin, I've been meaning to settle accounts with you about tricking me and treating me like a fool. "
Back then, when Ye Si had rushed to Peru with his men to rescue Qiao Ying, he was tricked by Qin Hanyue to go in the completely opposite direction to divert the enemy’s firepower.
This caused him to be unable to see Qiao Ying for over two months, and he had been extremely worried and anxious for two whole months.
Ye Si had been keeping this grudge in mind.
The only reason he did not immediately settle accounts with Qin Hanyue was out of consideration for Qiao Ying, and because Qin Hanyue did save Qiao Ying after all.
But for Ye Si, offsetting merits against faults was out of the question.
He had endured it, and did not settle accounts with Qin Hanyue at this critical juncture.
But if Qiao Ying had developed feelings for Qin Hanyue during those two months because of Qin Hanyue’s rescue, Ye Si would absolutely not allow it.
Ye Si: "There's no room for you to interfere with the relationship between the three of us. I don't like you, I don't welcome you, stay away from her. If there's a next time, I won't kill you but I will cripple you. Mark my words."
Ye Si said sinisterly.
Qin Hanyue remained expressionless throughout, not at all afraid of his threats.
He met Ye Si's gaze head on. Compared to Ye Si's rage and frenzy, Qin Hanyue's composure and calm conveyed a sense of having everything under control and being steadily in command.
After all, he had already won. There was absolutely no need to argue over anything with the oblivious Ye Si.
But Qin Hanyue would also never tolerate being bullied.
For a time, neither man's imposing manner overwhelmed the other.
