The Fake Heiress’s Inner Thoughts Were Heard by Her Entire Family

Chapter 6

Early morning, Jing Yi awoke from her soft bed.

Though it wasn't 500 meters wide, she could still roll around freely!

Jing Yi rolled from the head of the bed to the foot, then rolled back again.

Only then did she lazily stretch, preparing to get up.

This was how she had spent the past few days - sleeping comfortably until naturally waking, then going downstairs for breakfast, playing racing or fighting games in the basement game room, having dinner, and thus passing the day.

"Ah, another decadent day begins!"

Though her tone was sighing, Jing Yi's eyes were clearly sparkling, wondering what delicious food Aunt Wang had prepared for breakfast today!

Life in the Jing family home was much better than she had imagined.

After washing up, Jing Yi changed clothes and prepared to go downstairs.

She thought it would be like usual, with everyone else having left except for her.

Jing Zeyou was always the first to leave punctually for Hengjing Group. Though Jing Zeqian seemed rather laid-back, he was after all the CEO of an entertainment company, so naturally couldn't slack off.

Jing Zejun had also gone to film on set, while as for Jing Beicheng and Lin Ruiqing, though they had both stepped back from the limelight, they still had invitations they couldn't refuse, so their presence was rarely seen these days.

But Jing Yi had just come downstairs when she encountered Jing Zeyou.

Her surprise was evident on her face, impossible for Jing Zeyou to ignore.

He also hadn't expected Jing Yi to only get up at this hour every day.

"Big brother? You're not going to work today?"

"No, I worked overtime last night."

Jing Yi widened her eyes as she looked at the person before her, an expression of disbelief on her face.

"So, you were working overtime all night, and only just got back to rest?"

Jing Zeyou nodded.

Only then did Jing Yi notice the dark circles under his eyes, and couldn't help but feel admiration.

[Being a CEO isn't something just anyone can do, this is too intense!]

"Then big brother, you should hurry upstairs to rest. Work is important, but so is your health."

Jing Yi moved to the side to let Jing Zeyou go upstairs, her expression full of concern.

The polite smile at the corner of Jing Zeyou's mouth hadn't fully formed when he heard another voice.

[Big brother really lives up to the title of 'workaholic', the Jing family is lucky to have you! Keep it up! My second half of life depends on you!]

He was momentarily at a loss for words, but quickly concealed the emotions in his eyes, smiling and thanking Jing Yi before heading upstairs.

Left downstairs, Jing Yi shook her head in admiration, then cheerfully went to find Aunt Wang to solve the breakfast issue.

At two in the afternoon, Jing Zeyou finally woke up.

Actually, he wasn't always this intense, otherwise why would the company hire so many technical experts?

Last night's overtime was because the company secretary suddenly called, saying the company's system had been hacked, so he rushed back to the company overnight.

Thanks to the layers of system protection, the hacker hadn't obtained any information, but it was enough to make Jing Zeyou take it seriously.

As a result, he had been busy until now.

Jing Zeyou came downstairs but didn't see Jing Yi, thinking she must have gone to the basement to play games again.

Aunt Wang came over, "Zeyou, you're awake? Come quickly, I've prepared lunch for you."

"Thank you, Aunt Wang."

Aunt Wang had been with the Jing family even longer than Jing Zeyou, so she was quite close with the family members.

Jing Zeyou sat at the dining table, watching as Aunt Wang brought out the dishes one by one.

"Aunt Wang, these dishes... are they new recipes you're trying out?"

Before him were various grain porridges and health soups, as well as a cup of tea with unknown ingredients - he certainly couldn't smell what was in it.

Aunt Wang wiped her hands and walked over with a smile.

"You child, working overtime and not even telling Aunt Wang. It was little Yi who told me you just got back from work, so I quickly prepared some food for you, to help you recover."

Jing Zeyou looked at the grain porridge before him, the corners of his mouth turning up. At least she knew to fight for his future.

"Then what's this cup?"

Aunt Wang looked at the cup of health tea on the table, whose ingredients were indiscernible, with a somewhat troubled expression.

"This is... a health tea that little Yi brewed for you."

So?

Jing Zeyou was waiting for Aunt Wang to tell him what was in it.

Aunt Wang smiled apologetically, "I'm sorry, Zeyou, I don't know what little Yi put in it either, but she said it's all good for the body."

She had been preparing the grain porridge when she turned around to see Jing Yi had already brewed the health tea and placed it nearby, saying it was for big brother to drink.

Jing Zeyou's smile froze as he stared at the health tea before him with an indescribable expression.

Considering she had specially brewed it, Jing Zeyou still picked up the cup, preparing to take a sip.

Aunt Wang beside him stared intently at the cup, also curious about this health tea.

The tea had barely touched his lips, just a slight taste, when Jing Zeyou immediately moved the cup away.

It really was hard to drink!

Seeing that Jing Zeyou wasn't going to continue drinking, Aunt Wang looked a bit disappointed and prepared to return to the kitchen.

"Oh right, little Yi is sunbathing in the courtyard. You can go ask her after you finish eating."

Aunt Wang left reassured, waiting for Jing Zeyou to uncover the mystery.

Jing Yi, currently sunbathing in the courtyard, was unaware that the two in the dining room were puzzled by her health tea.

At this moment, she was comfortably sleeping on a lounge chair, sunbathing.

When Jing Zeyou came out, he saw a fully armored person sunbathing.

He found Jing Yi's behavior somewhat confusing - not a single patch of skin exposed, how could this be considered sunbathing?

"Is this... sunbathing?"

Jing Yi lifted her sunglasses, seeing Jing Zeyou standing beside her. Her almond eyes curved, her smile as warm and bright as the sun.

"Big brother, have you eaten?"

"Mm, I came to ask about that cup of health tea..."

Jing Yi seemed to think for a moment before remembering what health tea he was talking about.

"Oh, that. I heard people who stay up late need to replenish themselves, so I found some cassia seeds and such in the kitchen, put them together to brew. There shouldn't be anything inedible in it."

Jing Zeyou's mouth twitched slightly. What did she mean by 'shouldn't be'?

She still hadn't said exactly what was in it...

"Big brother, want to sunbathe together?"

Seeing that he was still standing beside her and hadn't left, Jing Yi extended an invitation to sunbathe together.

To be honest, it did look very relaxing.

So, another lounge chair appeared on the lawn.

Jing Zeyou didn't know why he was accompanying Jing Yi in doing such a boring thing.

But, his mood wasn't bad.

Jing Zeyou closed his eyes, leisurely lying on the lounge chair, and curiously asked, "Dressed like that, aren't you hot?"

Actually, what he wanted to ask more was, what's the point of sunbathing like this?

Level 10 sun protection sunbathing?

Under the brim of her hat, the corners of Jing Yi's mouth turned up slightly. She stretched out a small hand, waved it slightly, then quickly hid it back in her sleeve.

"Big brother, I'm not hot. This way I won't get tanned!"

[This set of sun protection clothing is very expensive! It's cool and refreshing, yet warm in the sunlight! This is the best way to sunbathe!]

Jing Zeyou was even more confused. What kind of sunbathing method was this?

But seeing her enjoyment, Jing Zeyou didn't speak again, closing his eyes to quietly sunbathe.

When Jing Zeqian returned home, he saw the two of them sprawled out in the middle of the courtyard, sunbathing.

If it was just Jing Yi, it wouldn't be strange, but he also saw his brother!
