When those two cars headed in the direction where the vulture flew, Yu Qingxian and the Tyrannosaurus poked their heads out from behind the hill slope.
In fact, Yu Qingxian hadn't gone far, just circled around to the back of the hill.
Releasing that smoke bomb was to signal those people not to follow her.
Evidently, those people knew when to stop.
They didn't truly intend to keep following her.
It seemed those people were also chasing that vulture.
Yu Qingxian watched the cars drive away, then had the Tyrannosaurus pull the sled to follow them from the side.
She hadn't forgotten that stinky vulture that knocked down her drone.
Even the patriotic excuse of the peanut cracker, she still held a grudge.
Not to mention that vulture claimed to not kill but still knocked down her drone, which was unforgivable.
As for the Tyrannosaurus, hearing they were going to chase a bird, it was naturally delighted.
It pulled the sled, not as rushed as before.
They followed the cars for over ten minutes before the two cars stopped.
Yu Qingxian also looked toward the cliff area.
There was a stretch of towering cliffs, as if cleaved open by an axe.
No snow on those cliffs, where a flock of vultures lived instead.
However, those people's target wasn't the vultures.
Earlier, those people used binoculars to observe Yu Qingxian, now it was Yu Qingxian's turn to observe them with binoculars.
Their target was a herd of mountain goats below the cliffs.
Because that area was shielded from the wind and snow by the high cliffs.
Allowing a patch of grass to grow there, even a sizable lake.
With quite a few animals around too.
Evidently it was a freshwater lake.
Yu Qingxian was rather surprised.
But then she realized, don't those vultures eat animal carcasses?
And where there are animal carcasses, there's a high chance of living animals.
Animals usually die from fights or disease.
But either way, many plateau animals live in herds.
Yu Qingxian saw those people were indeed hunting, so she stopped watching them.
Instead, she went ahead down to the base of the cliffs.
Of course, she didn't approach the animals too closely.
She just stopped at the foot of the mountain.
She took out her camera and started taking photos while lying prone on the snow.
After Yu Qingxian photographed a few animals, she suddenly realized.
All the animals here must be protected species!
They couldn't be eaten.
So she immediately stood up to check what animals those people were hunting.
One look and she saw they were cattle and sheep that should belong to herders.
Those were relatively easy to recognize.
What's legal or illegal to eat, that's likely ingrained in the Chinese people.
However, she hadn't seen any zombie animals around, only mutated animals.
She was puzzled, since there were so many living creatures here, it should attract quite a few zombie animals, right?
But she hadn't noticed any yet.
Thinking of this, Yu Qingxian used her binoculars to scan where the vultures were perched.
That's when she spotted a half zombie animal.
Its head was still twitching, but half its body was pinned under a vulture's talons.
One vulture was tearing off the rotten flesh from its body.
Seeing this scene, Yu Qingxian immediately understood.
These vultures could be considered the nemesis of the zombies!
The rotten flesh of zombies doesn't decompose like true corpses, instead retaining basic meat elasticity, while the blood hasn't fully coagulated either.
Thinking it through, zombie flesh should be the vultures' favorite food.
In other words, this place has become a paradise for these animals.
Any zombies or zombie animals that come would definitely be targeted by the vultures.
Realizing this, Yu Qingxian quickly hid behind the sled.
She didn't want the leader of this vulture flock to spot her.
To protect such a pristine area, it couldn't be just one or two mutated animals in charge.
There might be more.
Yu Qingxian snapped some videos and photos in secret, then prepared to leave.
But just as she stood up to go, she heard the sounds of fighting in the distance.
She turned toward the direction of the noise to see an antelope chasing after that hunting party carrying some sheep.
Apparently, even though those sheep were domesticated, they were now under that antelope's jurisdiction.
In any case, that party had secured food but was having trouble escaping.
Fortunately, the lead antelope stopped chasing once they reached the mountain ridge.
Just as Yu Qingxian thought this antelope boss was sensible.
A ball of light suddenly appeared between the antelope's two horns.
The antelope flung that light ball, which flew toward the people's rear and exploded on the ground, creating a crater.
Witnessing this, Yu Qingxian was so scared she hugged the Tyrannosaurus tightly.
"Big treasure, you have to protect me," Yu Qingxian cried out the Tyrannosaurus's name in a panic.
In that moment, she even forgot her own name, let alone the three syllables of its name.
Not only do plants eat meat now, but these animals' abilities are even more powerful than humans'.
So scared!
As for that hunting party, once they secured their prey, they immediately got in their cars and drove off.
Sure enough, places with herding animals are not to be trifled with.
The Tyrannosaurus, feeling Yu Qingxian hugging it, simply tossed her onto its back.
Jolted by the motion, Yu Qingxian finally snapped out of it.
She looked toward the antelope across the mountain.
That antelope was beautiful, with four slender legs and gorgeous fur.
Standing out on the white snow.
However, Yu Qingxian didn't think it faced any real danger.
Just that single light ball could kill who knows how many people.
The antelope's body was also enlarged from mutation.
This reminded Yu Qingxian of the spirit beasts from cultivation novels.
The antelope glanced in Yu Qingxian's direction, then turned and left.
Not chasing after the cars.
Yu Qingxian only managed to photograph the antelope's back view.
Those two cars had already driven far away, so Yu Qingxian packed up her camera, then had the Tyrannosaurus leave as well.
Yu Qingxian realized the Tyrannosaurus's ability was electric-type, while that antelope's ability was likely of the same elemental type as the Tyrannosaurus.
But the Tyrannosaurus's seemed more like firing electrical beams from its body.
Whereas that antelope gathered energy between its horns, and this energy could separate from its body.
Though the windup was a bit long.
If facing something faster, it might have trouble reacting in time.
Yu Qingxian felt the Tyrannosaurus's instantaneous ability was more reassuring safety-wise.
"Tyrannosaurus, I still think you're the strongest!" After weighing it, Yu Qingxian ended up praising the Tyrannosaurus.
Though the Tyrannosaurus Rex did not understand why its master suddenly praised it, it was indeed very happy and ran even more joyfully.
Its tail knocked against the sledge with a loud thudding sound.
Yu Qingxian patted its tail, not minding the pain.
As evening approached, Yu Qingxian finally found a house belonging to a herdsman.
The house was low and looked quite dilapidated.
But Yu Qingxian had no choice but to make do with it.
Fortunately, the Tyrannosaurus Rex did not mind either.
There was not much inside, only two beds, and these beds were made of poor quality wooden boards.
Yu Qingxian did not even think twice before chopping them up.
He even pulled out two roof beams that were not very important.
Then he used an axe to chop them up and burn them as firewood.
Yu Qingxian thought that perhaps he should prepare some charcoal in the future.
Otherwise, it would be difficult to find wood to burn in places like this.
But could the Tyrannosaurus Rex pull it?
He would have to test the Tyrannosaurus Rex's strength someday.
Although it was pulling more and more things, it was almost all this little dog's doing.
Otherwise, in the bitter cold, without firewood to light a fire, that would not work.
