Quick Transmigration: The Villainess Is a Sweetheart

Chapter 168

"Jiang Yan?" Nan Yan tentatively reached out, trying to wake her up.

Jiang Yan, habitually wanting to sleep in, swatted his hand away and burrowed deeper under the pillow.

This familiar gesture stirred something in Nan Yan's heart. He almost pounced on Jiang Yan, calling out to her with a smile, "Jiang Yan, wake up! You've grown up!"

Jiang Yan opened her eyes groggily, wanting to push Nan Yan off her, but this movement caused the blanket to slide down, revealing a glimpse of snow-white skin.

Nan Yan froze for two seconds, then covered her back up with the blanket, his ears turning red. Jiang Yan finally came to her senses, looking around with wide eyes, and exclaimed in surprise, "I've grown bigger!"

Nan Yan, thinking of something unknown, flushed and went to find clothes for Jiang Yan. Her old clothes wouldn't fit anymore, and there were no women's clothes in the house.

Eventually, Nan Yan brought over a set of his own old clothes.

A simple white shirt and black trousers, the kind Nan Yan often wore when he first brought Jiang Yan home. On Jiang Yan, they were still too big.

She tucked the shirt into the waistband herself, but the pants were so long her feet didn't show. Nan Yan silently bent down and rolled up the pants to reveal her ankles.

Her plump white foot kicked him lightly. Looking up, he saw Jiang Yan grinning mischievously at him.

He couldn't hold back any longer.

Nan Yan quickly climbed onto the bed, pinning Jiang Yan down.

Yet Jiang Yan wasn't scared at all. She propped up her chin, looking at him with a smile that was part teasing, part challenging.

Nan Yan was no longer a child either. He held Jiang Yan's head still, raised an eyebrow at her, and said before leaning in, "I'm going to kiss you."

But he didn't give Jiang Yan a chance to refuse, already lowering his head until only their lips met.

It was the closest the two had ever been, fulfilling Nan Yan's deepest desires.

Nan Yan, lying on top of Jiang Yan, mumbled as if in a dream, "Were you cursed by an evil spell? Only when I confess my love to the little fairy can you turn back into a human."

As it happened, Jiang Yan had heard the original version of this story in her past life. Without hesitation, she slapped him lightly, "You're the toad, if anyone is."

Nan Yan just laughed, his voice lazy, "The little fairy knows quite a few stories, doesn't she?"

But his fingers, quite ungentlemanly, were already reaching for her. The ribbon of her pants, tight against the girl's waist, was easily undone. The white shirt was slowly rolled up, revealing clear curves.

The girl's beautiful form gradually came into view, the already ill-fitting loose clothes now even more disheveled.

The curtains were still drawn, the room as intimate as night, with breaths quickening and intertwining. Clothes were carelessly swept to the floor. The grey bedsheet wrinkled from friction, its edges swaying with the rhythm.

...

There were no suitable clothes for Jiang Yan in the house, so they definitely needed to buy some. But given Nan Yan's identity, it wasn't convenient for him to go shopping. So he called his usual assistant to go to the mall and buy a bunch of women's clothes.

The assistant, already married with children, was burning with curiosity upon receiving this task.

The outer door wasn't closed. As she reached the door of the villa's living room and just rang the doorbell, Nan Yan opened the door.

"Give them to me. I'll add a bonus to your paycheck at the end of the month," Nan Yan said, taking the clothes.

The assistant tried to peek inside on tiptoes but didn't see anyone. Surely it couldn't be a misunderstanding, she thought, especially since she'd been asked to buy underwear too...

Nan Yan casually said, "Don't bother looking, she's sleeping inside."

The sharp-eyed assistant noticed the scratch marks on his neck and exclaimed, "So it's true! You're hiding a sweetheart! Boss, what's the missus like? I really admire anyone who could win you over!"

Then Nan Yan shut her out, saying, "It's a rare day off. Go home and spend time with your kids instead of making a fuss here."

The overly lively assistant, despite being a mother, pouted. As she was about to leave, she remembered something else and asked, "Are you really planning to retire from the industry? I heard it all from Brother Li!"

Brother Li was Nan Yan's manager, and what he said publicly was usually already decided.

"I've been wanting to retire for a long time," Nan Yan said. Facing the industry he'd worked in for years, he showed no reluctance, instead smiling smugly, "I've saved up more than enough for married life! Retiring now is fine, I want to spend all my remaining time on our honeymoon. Good luck to you too."

The assistant's disappointment immediately vanished. Life was unfair – Nan Yan was retiring, but she still had to work overtime!

Retiring had always been part of Nan Yan's laid-back plan. Having reached his current level of fame in the industry, he could be said to be retiring at the peak of his career. However, wrapping up ongoing collaborations would be a bit complicated, so it would take some time to handle.

But Nan Yan was already impatient. He put the clothes in their room and went to oversee things at their company, planning to buy the ice cream Jiang Yan liked on his way back.

However, surprises always come faster than plans.

After her shower, Jiang Yan felt a bit sleepy. She had only intended to take a short nap, but she fell into a deep sleep, only to be awakened by sounds from outside.
