Domination of the Aristocratic Dynasty After a Body Swap with the CEO

Chapter 104

Returning to her room in low spirits, Bai Yuxuan also followed.

Seeing her sitting on the sofa silently weeping, he silently went over and hugged her. After a while, he said in a low voice, "Sis, don't be sad. I won't rob the family property. We'll split it equally in the future. If you don't want to go on blind dates, then don't go."

Bai Yinyue wiped her tears and ruffled his hair, "Have you been to the hospital to see Mom these days?"

Bai Yuxuan nodded, "I did. The nurse said she was doing well."

Bai Yinyue smiled, "That's good. Go back and play games. I'm going to take a shower."

Bai Yuxuan frowned, "Sis! Why do you have to listen to him and meet someone you don't like? What did you promise him?"

Bai Yinyue pushed him, "Kids shouldn't worry about adults' affairs. Go."

Bai Yuxuan said angrily, "I'm an adult now!" He got up aggressively and walked two steps before suddenly turning back, "I will study hard and inherit the company as soon as possible to kick the old man out! By then I'll have the final say in the Bai family. No one can force you anymore!"

Bai Yinyue just laughed, "Okay, go ahead."

The next day at noon, Bai Yinyue saw Cheng Yaowen in the restaurant.

If she had to say, she and Cheng Yaowen were childhood friends who had watched each other grow up. So they were quite clear about each other's embarrassing past.

In fact, Bai Yinyue didn't have much opinion on Cheng Yaowen before. Back in high school, many girls liked this rogue young master. Bai Yinyue even helped her deskmate give him a love letter.

But for some reason, the love letter ended up in Cheng Yaowen's mother's hands.

Bai Yinyue remembered that day she was in English class when Cheng's mother suddenly appeared at the classroom door in her finery and arrogantly called out her deskmate's name, asking her to go outside.

It wasn't until after class that her deskmate came back, her face pale and her eyes red. No matter how Bai Yinyue asked, she refused to open her mouth. Within a few days, her deskmate had transferred schools.

Later, Bai Yinyue vaguely heard from other sources that Cheng's mother had viciously humiliated the deskmate in the office, using the cruelest words to crush the fragile psychology of the girl who was in puberty. Bai Yinyue didn't understand why she had to suffer such humiliation just because she wrote a love letter to the boy she liked.

Throughout the incident, Cheng Yaowen never showed up.

He was still the most popular boy on campus with a new girlfriend replacing the old one. He didn't even remember the name of the girl who painfully transferred schools because of him.

Afterward, Bai Yinyue began to hear little by little about how Cheng's mother treated girls who appeared around Cheng Yaowen. He didn't seem to care. When his mother drove one away, he found another. There were always girls lining up to be with him anyway.

Did he ever truly care for any of his girlfriends? No one knew.

Bai Yinyue was disgusted to interact with such a person. At school, she avoided him whenever they met. Later, Cheng Yaowen went abroad.

Not having seen each other for five years, Bai Yinyue had grown up a lot. She no longer wore her disgust on her sleeve but learned to fake smiles and make small talk.

But now, looking at Cheng Yaowen sitting across from her, she couldn't smile.

Cheng Yaowen was still as nonchalant as ever with a roguish smile on his face, fiddling with the car key in his hand. "I didn't expect, junior sister, that one day you and I would sit at a matchmaking table."

Bai Yinyue said coldly, "Parents' orders cannot be defied."

Cheng Yaowen sneered, "It seems you are very reluctant to meet me for matchmaking, junior sister."

Bai Yinyue smiled, "Cut the crap. Since both of us aren't interested, I hope senior brother will say you didn't like me after you go home. It will save us trouble later."

After hearing her say this, Cheng Yaowen meaningfully raised his eyebrows. After a long pause, he suddenly moved closer and asked in a low voice, "Junior sister is not interested in me. So who are you interested in? Let me guess... Song JinXing?"

Bai Yinyue leaned back to keep her distance from him, her face turning cold, "None of your business."

Cheng Yaowen chuckled, "Do you know junior sister, Song JinXing has a girlfriend?"

Bai Yinyue didn't speak. He didn't seem to expect her to answer either, and continued on his own, "You've seen that woman at my teacher's 60th birthday party."

Reminded by his words, Bai Yinyue suddenly remembered.

She was a very beautiful woman with an aloof and cold aura, giving off an icy impression. When she entered, Bai Yinyue heard people around her whispering that she was a female celebrity.

So that was the type Song JinXing liked?

Seeing her absent-minded, Cheng Yaowen laughed again, his tone full of temptation, "Junior sister, you really don't need to be hostile towards me. Actually we can cooperate. We each get what we want in the end, isn't that a win-win?"

Bai Yinyue snapped back to herself. When she looked up to meet his sinister eyes, it was like the turbulent night sea, pitch black with no bottom in sight. Step in and he would drag her into the lightless depths.

Seeing each other eye to eye, the smile on Cheng Yaowen's lips grew even more. Just as he was about to add fuel to the fire, he suddenly heard her sneer, "Master Cheng, if you don't want me to pour coffee on you, I suggest you stop talking."

Cheng Yaowen was stunned.

Bai Yinyue sat for a while before she suddenly felt amused and really laughed out loud. She looked at him puzzled and asked, "Cheng Yaowen, do you even know what liking someone means?"

His expression darkened as he stared at her gloomily.

Bai Yinyue shook her head, "Forget it, what's there to say to someone like you."

She got up with her bag and turned to leave without even giving him another glance.

Cheng Yaowen clutched the coffee cup with his fingers exerting force until the veins on the back of his hand protruded one by one.

"Like?" He repeated with a mocking smile on his lips.

Once out of the cafe, Bai Yinyue felt the air was much fresher. After walking two steps, she still couldn't help but look back at the cafe's window where Cheng Yaowen was sitting. He was still there with his head lowered, expression unclear, not knowing what he was thinking.

Just the thought of his gaze made Bai Yinyue's skin crawl.

She never expected that the beautiful woman she saw at the banquet being pestered by Cheng Yaowen and his mother turned out to be Song JinXing's girlfriend.

Did Song JinXing know the Chengs were pestering his girlfriend? Did he know what Cheng's mother had done before? Bai Yinyue didn't know what Cheng Yaowen intended, but she felt he was up to no good. They had to be careful.

Bai Yinyue's lips pursed unconsciously. When she got to the car, she hesitated before finally making that call she thought she would never make again in this life.

Soon, the familiar gentle voice came over the receiver, "Miss Bai?"

Bai Yinyue suppressed the sour feeling in her heart and got straight to the point, "Mr. Song, my family arranged for me to meet Cheng Yaowen today, but I found he seems to have ideas about your girlfriend. You may not know the complexity of the Cheng family. Cheng Yaowen's mother is very hostile towards women who appear around him. I don't know what Cheng Yaowen plans to do, but I feel he's up to no good. You must be careful."

She said it all in one breath, even breathing faster. But then she began to regret interfering, thinking Song JinXing might take it as her trying to sow discord between him and his girlfriend.

Just as she was regretting, she heard the gentle and grateful voice over the phone, "Miss Bai, thank you for telling me this. I know about Cheng Yaowen harassing my girlfriend and I warned him long ago, but didn't expect he still can't let it go. Don't worry, I will handle this matter. Thank you again, really."

Bai Yinyue felt relieved, "That's good then. Well Mr. Song, goodbye."

"Goodbye."

Goodbye.
