Chasing You Like a Tenacious Falcon

Chapter 8

Quan Zhisui's entire back stiffened. She really wanted to turn around and explain that she didn't drink the milk tea together with him. She had just opened it and hadn't drunk it yet before Wei Shixu took it away!

But she was calm now, trying her best to keep her head down and lower her presence.

Forget about the incident in the cafeteria. After all, it caused quite a commotion so it's normal for people to gossip about it around the school.

But why were people also gossiping about what happened in class?

The girls behind her were still chatting...

"But why did Zuo Zichen go after that girl?"

"Tsk! He must have pursued her but got rejected, so Zuo Zichen got angry out of embarrassment!"

"That's Zuo Zichen's style."

"But why did Wei Shixu get involved? I heard he never cares about these kinds of things before. Rumor has it he was even too lazy to be a class officer."

"Wei Shixu was also pursuing that girl!"

"That makes sense..."

Quan Zhisui: "!!!"

Don't make wild guesses!

Quan Zhisui had been listening attentively with her head lowered. Suddenly she realized more people were in front of her, surrounding her.

It was the group of problematic students who were with Zuo Zichen at the cafeteria during lunch.

"We finally caught you. Quite good at hiding, huh!"

"You were pretty cocky at the cafeteria during lunch, right? We looked you up, Grade 10 Class 1's Quan Zhisui!"

"My boss Zuo isn't here this afternoon, otherwise you would've lost your hands and feet already. Messing with Boss Zuo, you think you'd get away with it?

"No one can help you now. Boss Zuo's business with you isn't finished yet!"

"Outside school, even teachers can't help you."

Quan Zhisui felt the crowd around her go silent. Behind her came the sound of several people gasping. She was a little desperate as she rubbed her forehead. She looked back awkwardly.

Those girls were even more awkward. They didn't expect the protagonist of their gossip would be standing right here.

Quan Zhisui gave them an awkward smile, looking even more pathetic than crying. She was trying to diffuse the awkwardness, but the expression was naturally interpreted as a cry for help.

The delinquent boys started shoving Quan Zhisui around.

"Hey! We're talking to you! Scared stupid?"

"Stop wasting time chatting. Drag her to the alley and give her a beating!"

"Don't think we won't hit girls. Even teachers get beaten for messing with Boss Zuo!"

They were clamoring louder, even reaching out to tug at Quan Zhisui's clothes and schoolbag.

"No need to pull me. I'll walk there myself." Quan Zhisui pried one person's hand off and headed towards the nearby alley.

Seeing Quan Zhisui being taken away like this, those girls panicked.

"What do we do? What do we do? Call for help?"

"Tell the teachers?"

"We must tell the teachers!"

"Find people first, find boys! Ones that can fight!"

"Right! Get the boys to rescue her from the alley first, then find the teachers! It'll be too late otherwise!"

"Find Wei Shixu? I saw him heading to the cafeteria."

"I don't dare talk to Wei Shixu..."

"Find Kong Mingze!"

...

In the corner of the cafeteria, Kong Mingze was still complaining about Wei Shixu snatching the milk tea this morning.

Kong Mingze: "Why couldn't you just let her have it? It was just a milk tea. You should've said earlier if you wanted that flavor!"

Wei Shixu looked at him without speaking.

Kong Mingze was a little angry: "Can't talk about you anymore? What do you mean staring at me like that?"

Wei Shixu lowered his head to continue eating. He realized he truly had nothing in common with this idiot.

Kong Mingze continued: "We've been classmates since elementary school to high school. That makes us brothers, doesn't it? You have such a weird personality. Finally there's such an easygoing classmate, yet you have to upset her on purpose!"

Wei Shixu's eyebrows furrowed slightly, growing annoyed.

Kong Mingze: "Don't you think Quan Zhisui is really interesting? I hereby announce she's my friend from now on. You're not allowed to bully her."

Wei Shixu was silent for a good several seconds before slowly uttering two words: "You're sick..."

Just then, several girls with schoolbags on their backs came running over, looking very flustered.

"Kong Mingze! Help! "

"Quan Zhisui was taken away by Zuo Zichen's lackeys!"

Kong Mingze immediately stood up: "What? Where?"

The girls' faces were all white from panic and fear as they tried their best to explain clearly:

"At the school gate, the bus stop."

"Five people, all boys, very tall and strong."

"They dragged Quan Zhisui into the alley!"

After speaking, several of the girls were nearly in tears from anxiety. They were ordinary students, never having encountered something like this before, let alone happening right in front of them.

Kong Mingze threw down his chopsticks and ran outside!

Wei Shixu on the other hand slowly wiped his mouth before getting up.

Wafers - one punch each.

The girls who delivered the news were about to find a teacher after informing Kong Mingze. Although Zuo Zichen was quite prestigious at school, and that group of problematic students acted unscrupulously, they still needed teachers present to feel assured!

But Wei Shixu stopped them: "Where are you going? Don't find any teachers."

The girls' hearts all skipped a beat. Some were stunned by the school's handsome idol at close range, while others were chilled by his ruthlessness. For a moment they couldn't figure out whose side Wei Shixu was on.

Why not let them find teachers?

...

By the time Kong Mingze rushed to the alley first, his impulsive emotions instantly cooled down. He suddenly recalled that Quan Zhisui had been practicing martial arts since young!

At this time in the alley, the delinquent boys were sprawled horizontally and vertically on the ground. Some were crying "Ow ow" in pain, while others grimaced in agony clutching their stomachs and breaking into cold sweat.

As for Quan Zhisui, the alleged hostage, she was perfectly tidy and even had her schoolbag on her back, standing by unconcerned.

"Thanks for telling me school regulations don't apply outside school. I've been holding it in since yesterday."

In fact, she had a bad temper. After taking abuse since yesterday, she was furious.

Now she had finally vented some of it!

Although she didn't go all out, afraid of causing real harm. She had been holding back, only teaching them a lesson.

The situation during lunch was different. Back then, Zuo Zichen was attacking her with full force. The bone fracture was from the shockwaves when she countered him. If he had attacked gently, there wouldn't have been any fractures.

Kong Mingze stood frozen in place, his expression going from stunned, to confused, to sudden realization. His emotional rollercoaster was like a ride at an amusement park.

He suddenly regretted not finishing his meal!

Soon after, the girls who delivered the news arrived too. Seeing the scene in the alley, they were collectively dumbstruck.

Wait, how was this different from what they imagined?

Seeing them arrive, Kong Mingze suddenly slapped his forehead: "You didn't get any teachers, did you? Don't find them no matter what!"

Quan Zhisui had video evidence for what happened during lunch. She clearly didn't make a move. But now things were different.

She had beat them all down!

Although it was this group of problematic students who started it...

The girls collectively shook their heads, suddenly reacting to something as they looked back.

Wei Shixu didn't enter the alley. He just stood at the entrance with the corner of his lips curved in a mocking smile.

Kong Mingze appropriately stepped up to handle the aftermath. First he waved at the girls to disperse the crowd: "Alright, nothing to see here. No one's missing any limbs or bleeding. Just a minor conflict, a small scuffle!"

After finishing up, he called towards Quan Zhisui: "Quan Zhisui, you should leave too! Hurry home, didn't you say you were going back for dinner?"

Quan Zhisui nodded and immediately went to catch the bus.

Dinner was served promptly at 6pm at the Zuo residence. That chef really cooked delicious meals!
