Apocalypse: The Hotel She Runs Is the Only Paradise

Chapter 236

"I feel like I've hit something," a man said with a grimace.

"Me too!"

The two men cautiously tried to move forward again.

Sure enough, after just a few steps, they bumped into something hard again.

The impact made their heads buzz.

They reached out their hands to feel around, and finally figured out what was happening.

In front of them, there seemed to be an invisible barrier preventing them from entering the hotel.

"What's going on? What's this situation? Why can't we get in?"

"Maybe we need some kind of password? Or do we need to do something special to enter this hotel?"

"I don't know, I've never heard of such a thing!"

Just at that moment, Tom passed by them.

He gave them a curious look, then walked straight through the gate into the front courtyard.

The two men quickly called out to Tom.

"Brother, wait a moment!"

"Is there something wrong?" Tom turned and asked.

"How did you get in?" Their faces were full of desperation. "Could you teach us? We really want to get into this hotel!"

Tom was bewildered by their questions.

"What do you mean how did I get in? I just walked in, of course."

Hadn't they just seen him walking?

"No, that's not what we meant," one of the men said anxiously. "We want to know how you passed through this thing?"

"What thing?"

"This!" The other man slapped hard at the invisible barrier in front of him.

However, to Tom's eyes, he was just slapping at thin air.

Tom looked at them even more strangely.

These two guys couldn't have been driven mad by vampires, could they?

"Don't you feel this invisible thing stopping us from entering?" the man asked again. "You can't feel this thing?"

"No," Tom said in confusion. "I've never encountered any invisible barrier stopping us from entering the hotel. Are you two... not human?"

But that wasn't right - even those little elves could enter the hotel.

Unless they were vampires...

But these two men didn't look anything like vampires.

"Of course we're human!" The man started shouting in frustration. "Then why can't we enter this hotel! You must know some trick and you're just not telling us!"

Tom frowned and said, "You're being ridiculous! There's no trick at all. Everyone else and I just walk right in. How would I know why you can't enter? Perhaps you've done something that violates the hotel rules?"

"We just arrived at this hotel and haven't even been inside yet. How could we have violated any rules!"

The two men were getting desperate.

Their eyes were bloodshot as they pounded and slapped at the barrier in front of them, trying to force their way through the gate into the hotel's front courtyard.

The castle beyond seemed even more unreachable to them now.

Their hands were hurting, but more painful than the physical pain was the despair in their hearts.

How could this be happening?

They had walked so far and finally found this hotel, thinking they'd finally found a nice place where they could have a proper meal and get some sleep...

But now they couldn't even get in!

Their faces were contorted with frustration, and they seemed on the verge of breaking down in tears.

Just then, they saw someone walking out from the castle.

This person crossed the front courtyard and approached them.

When they clearly saw this person's face, they were shocked!

"H-how can it be you?"

Gu Wanyin saw them and smiled. "Well, well, we meet again."

"Boss Gu," Tom greeted her, "these two men are having some strange issue - they say they can't pass through this gate."

"What?" one of the men shouted in surprise. "You're the owner of this hotel?"
