“How could it be you?!” Wan Ru shrieked, the shock hitting her the hardest as the last person to see Cen Ting and Jing Yan.
Those two had been in bed just moments ago, unable to resist her plans, so how could they have been replaced within ten minutes?
“Where are Cen Ting and Jing Yan?!” Jing Yu also realized something was off and quickly scanned the room again, almost doubting whether the two had somehow become invisible.
Qin Xian frowned, already visibly displeased. He had no interest in wasting words with these people, his cold gaze pressing down on the room, making the atmosphere tense and oppressive.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about. If you’re in such a hurry to find someone, why don’t you leave?” Qin Xian said, his tone indifferent, leaving no doubt that he was telling the truth.
“There’s no way they’re not here. Did you…” Before Jing Yu could finish his rant, there was a sharp slap.
Madam Xie stepped forward and slapped her son, who was acting out of control. “That’s enough. I think you’ve had too much to drink and are causing a scene with our guests.”
After scolding him, she immediately turned to Qin Xian and Ji Fei, apologizing profusely. “I’m so sorry, I must have overlooked something. I’ll come back later to apologize properly.”
“There’s no need for that, Madam Xie. Whoever caused the trouble should apologize.” Ji Fei’s voice came out muffled.
Madam Xie smiled and nodded, then gave Qin Xian a meaningful look. Both were sharp enough to understand that Qin Xian and Ji Fei had helped the Jing family avoid a disaster.
Madam Xie had no idea where the two were now, but getting everyone out of the room was the safest move.
“Get out!” She pushed Jing Yu, who was still standing by the door.
Jing Yu, however, seemed to finally snap out of his embarrassment from being publicly slapped. His face burning with shame, he glared furiously. “This doesn’t make sense! Those two…”
“You!” Madam Xie was shocked. Her son was acting like a madman, trying to frame others with such low tactics. Was this really her child?
Just as the mother and son were about to clash, Jing Family’s second son finally squeezed in to mediate.
“What’s going on all of a sudden? Is there some kind of misunderstanding?”
“Today is your engagement party. Don’t let this turn into a disaster!” Madam Xie’s tone was stern, finally having some effect on Jing Yu.
Everyone assumed it was a misunderstanding and didn’t want to offend anyone, so they began to leave.
“No, they’re not here, they must be somewhere else.” Wan Ru was getting desperate. After all, she had drugged them, and even if they had woken up halfway, they shouldn’t have been able to leave the villa.
She started blurting out whatever came to mind. “I saw them having an affair with my own eyes. Keep looking, we’ll find them!”
“This is absurd!” A Cen Family Member was furious. “Who let this lunatic in? Get her out of here!”
Being called a lunatic, Wan Ru immediately started making a scene. Her mother, Madam Wan, who had been suspicious before, was now furious. “Who are you calling a lunatic?!”
Madam Xie called the security guards to escort everyone out before the situation escalated.
If Cen Ting and Jing Yan didn’t leave soon, this mess would never end.
The last to leave were the Qin Family. They had been watching the drama unfold and were now smiling happily as they saw their son holding his wife. It was rare to see them so close, and it was truly sweet.
Once the door was closed, Qin Xian finally let go of Ji Fei.

“Let’s check on their condition first. We shouldn’t let them out yet to avoid anyone else coming in. We’ll wait for the private doctor to handle it.”
Ji Fei nodded and went to check on Cen Ting. She was shocked by how heavily drugged he was; there was no sign of him waking up.
Qin Xian checked on Jing Yan while also contacting their group of friends to explain the situation and arrange for the doctor to come in secretly. Madam Xie would make sure everything went smoothly.
The others, though mostly just guessing, were furious in the group chat.

They assured Qin Xian that they would monitor the situation and make the necessary arrangements.
However, Madam Xie was likely too busy dealing with the chaos in the hall, where people were attacking each other and arguing loudly.
Qin Xian also heard Ji Fei’s thoughts.
